'Isola' literally means island, but to Danilo, Isola also represents tradition, family and love.

A native of Sicily, Danilo founded Isola in 2019 with a mission to bring the flavours and colours of his childhood to New Zealand.  He sources Isola products from local farmers and artisans back home, generations of whom have been dedicated to their land and traditions, with an emphasis on superior quality and taste. 

Clearly a fan of island life, Danilo now resides on Waiheke Island with his family. You are likely to find him sharing his favorite recipes with customers at the Ostend market each Saturday, practicing on the football pitch with his children or enjoying a sunset and leisurely meal with friends on the beach.
